The Fall of Joe Paterno, Anonymous Takes Up the Fight, And More.......
Why Educating our Children is Necessary
If we've learned anything from the shameful revelations of the Joe Paterno/Penn State child abuse controversy (involving a Penn State football coaching assistant and several young boys), it's this: We can no longer fool ourselves into believing that adults will do the right thing when it comes to bring abusers to justice.
Time and time again, we've seen that when the violators of these heinous acts happen to be people in positions of authority, more often than not the outcome is the entire incident being swept under the rug.
When we educate our children in schools -- teach them what is not permissable, how to protect themselves, and most importantly, how to get help, we take those decisions out of the hands of potentially weak-minded adults. It's a hard truth, but it must be said.
Infamous Hacker's Group "Anonymous" Does the Work of Law Enforcement
When Anonymous went after greedy banks and challenged the Mexican Drug Cartels, it raised a couple of eyebrows. After all, usually so-called "hackers groups" don't do anything unless money or anarchy is involved. But with their latest endeavor, they've definitely earned our respect. Seems these hackers have grown tired of losing their internet freedoms because of the proliferation of child pornography on the internet.
So what did they decide to do? Only infiltrate the supposedly impenetrable ISP's that shield child porn websites, monitor the unlawful activity taking place, and then post the IP addresses of all of those sick individuals on the internet. Great going guys....strange though, seems like our police agencies would have thought of the same thing by now?
At first we hated the moniker, "Hacktivists" when we heard it, but in these guy's case it seems to fit.
